Airports

Fly in to Aspen, CO airport (ASE) which is a quick 10-15 minute taxi ride in to town.

You may also try Vail, CO (EGE) and Grand Junction, CO (GJT) airports, which are about an hour and half away, and 2 hours and 15 minutes away. Both are great, small and reliable airports that Aspen locals like Dr. Turchin use frequently.

A final option is flying to Denver (DEN) and renting a car. The drive is about 3.5-4 hours, and is quite a beautiful journey through the Rocky Mountains.

*Please note the Aspen airport occasionally closes for a week of maintenance in the month of May. If you are a part of the Spring course please be aware that you may need to utilize one of the other airports for the second weekend of your course.

Car Services

Many hotels offer a shuttle service from the airport. Please call the hotel to arrange.

High Mountain Taxi, Aspen - 970-925-8294. Pick ups can be scheduled by calling ahead.

Uber is sometimes available, but spotty in service.

    Bike to Woody Creek Tavern. A local favorite bike trip with an easy ride along the Roaring Fork River. Rent an e-bike for the uphill ride back to town.
